Health campaigners win backdown over military appointments

A public outcry has prompted the Ministry of Health to announce it will no longer appoint military officials to its departments. The recent appointment to the ministry of 13 military officers, four of whom have no medical experience, prompted the launch of a social media campaign this week dubbed the "black ribbon movement" to protest the appointments.
