Two issues in particular are likely to be on the agenda: the future of the suspended Myitsone dam project and the peace process, both of more than passing interest to Beijing. |

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology recorded 6.26 inches (15.9 centimetres) of rainfall, less than 1 inch shy of the August 24, 1987, record of 6.89 inches. |
