MCDC expands ‘smart’ traffic lights Posted: 13 Jan 2017 12:46 AM PST "Smart" traffic lights in Mandalay intended to increase pedestrian safety and keep traffic moving are to be installed in more locations this year. Sensor-operated Real Time Traffic Lights were first installed last year, along with a central control room, to reduce accidents, said the city's buildings and warehouses department. Another 10 sets of lights will be installed in March.
