Same GSM numbers to replace CDMA SIM cards

State-owned telecommunications operator Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) has started issuing GSM SIM cards with the same number for CDMA users since March 20, according to an MPT official. Accordingly, the old CDMA SIM cards will not be cancelled.

15 perish in KTV fire in Magwe

Fifteen people were killed and one injured in a fire that broke at a KTV lounge in Magwe. The injured woman is in a critical condition, and is being treated at the Magwe Region Hospital, according to the regional Fire Brigade.
